Farm Tour Description

Every 1st Saturday of the month following our normal market hours our Farmer, Maxwell, will give a 45 minute tour of the garden as well as the greenhouse and compost area. While walking Max will give you a description of what you see in front of you, provide theories and rules for why things are done a certain way, as well as go into the science and culture surrounding said rules and theories.

A note from Max:

“I describe farming as a never ending list of mundane and repetitive tasks. With that said I absolutely love what I do every day and I have a deep passion for agriculture. That passion is fueled not by the tasks themselves, but rather those tasks ability to foster community, widen minds, educate, challenge both physically and mentally, and, of course, provide healthy food to people close by. While on my tour you will get a glimpse into the thoughts and ideas that go behind every plant.”
